Description: 120+ SEEDS - VIOLA CORNUTA, HELEN MOUNT, JOHNNY JUMP UPS / 6 - 10 INCHES HIGH AND SPREADING / PERENNIAL / BLOOMS WITH COOL WEATHER / ALL ZONES / HARDY / EASY TO GROW / SUN OR SEMI- SHADE / CAN BE GROWN INDOORS OR OUT / EDIBLE / GROWING INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED / FREE SHIPPING ON ALL ADDITIONAL ITEMS This is truly a prolific bloomer. One of the original and will re-seed on its own, and very hardy. VIOLA IS THE TOUGHEST OF THE COOL SEASON BLOOMS. Often called biennials but really a perennial. When mature they are quite tough in winters and very hardy. Violas looks fabulous when grown under and around the cooler weather bulbs first to pop up. They bloom in all fall and all winter in milder climates (even as a ground cover) and early spring and fall in most zones. They like sun in the cooler weather. Very unique when you have a snow and they are in bloom popping up. Does not like extreme heat especially with full sun. Great for container gardening, bedding and edging. THEY CAN ALSO BE GROWN AS A HOUSE PLANT. One of the few that can be planted in fall for early-spring bloom, violas and pansies play a unique role in the garden and are wonderful if you're considering a companion planting method for your garden. Tuck them around plants that thrive in part shade, such as Ferns or Heucheras, and they'll bloom well into summer. As an added bonus they are all edible and look fabulous in salads or use as a garnish.
