Description: 1944 US navy 4 bar handstamp on military airmail cover to New York. Censor marking at lower left; typed return address of USS Neshanic, AO71. Neshanic was an oiler in commission 1943-1945, with 9 battle stars for service in the Pacific. The ship was sold in 1946 and was finally scrapped in 2018. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
