Description: Up for sale are two antique maps entitled Ancient Africa or Libya Part 1" and "Ancient Africa or Libya Part 2." These maps were published by the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge and are circa 1840. Maps are hand colored although the amount of coloring is not a lot in either map. Each measures approximately 16 x 12 inches. Both were by Philip Smith and both give credit to J & C Walker Sculp. In general they are in nice shape with some browning around the edges and some creasing to the bottom left corner. This creasing likely could be flattened and would be hard to notice when framed. in general these maps are in nice but not perfect shape.
