Deleting the factory oil cooler allows for extra clearance for long tube headers or Gen V LTx swap vehicles equipped with the LT1/LT4 GM oil pan 12639931, 12668314, or 12684490.The oil cooler adapter bolts directly to the Gen V LT1/LT4 oil pan in place of the factory cooler.
