I have access to massive amounts of mugwort and so I burn it as an incense instead of sage. In my opinion Mugwort works exactly the same, it’s physically and spiritually cleansing. I’ve used both a lot, Mugwort imbues the same Pavlovian response of an instant trance state once you begin using it in meditation regularly just like sage. It makes a rich Earthy incense when burned and keeps mosquitoes and negative energies away, I let it smoulder in a cauldron every night at “mosquite‘O clock” and they stay far away (I also use garden sage, white sage or eucalyptus) It can also be made into tea, salves, oils and tinctures. Do your research if you use it medicinally it’s very powerful. My mugwort is harvested in pristine areas both on the outskirts of the “healing grandparents” The Redwoods, along the northern Cali coast and along the Rogue River in the magical Southern Oregon Mountains.
