4x 18650 Li-Ion to 6v Lantern Adapter w/ LED bulb (optional)

Description: Description For those of us that can't bear to throw anything away but are always looking to up our game with the latest tech, may I present to you a recent design of mine. An 18650 adapter which is a rendition of the old 6v lantern battery. The adapter houses (4) rechargeable 18650 cells (not included); 2 cells in parallel and 2 in series. This brick of a battery adapter puts out between 7.4v to 8.4v when your cells are fully charged. In the process of designing the adapter I took into account the stock bulb designed for 6 volts may need to be replaced to accommodate the combined 7.4volts of the 18650 batteries. Thankfully, recent advancements in LED technology provided a solution in the form of a 3watt 200 lumen bulb replacement which can be used with a broad input voltage of between 6-24volts. The combination of the Li-Ion batteries and the new LED bulb has created a conversion kit which lightens your flashlight while providing a brighter light and giving you the ability to recharge your batteries. I offer the kit with and without the LED as some customers may want to supply their own. To access the batteries for replacement and charging, the bottom cover is secured with a 1/4-20 screw.The conversion kit consists of: Qty (1) 18650 adapterQty (1) 3 watt LED P13.5S Bulb (optional) *The 18650 batteries or the Flashlight pictured are NOT included with the adapter Instructions for Use Using a Philips screwdriver, unscrew the center screw of the bottom coverEnsure your (4) 18650 Li-Ion batteries are fully charge and install them into the corners of the adapter with the negative end of two cells contacting the diagonally opposed springs at the bottom of the adapter housing. The remaining two cells should have their positive ends contact the diagonally opposed brass screw terminals at the bottom of the adapter housing.When installing the bottom cover, orient it so the two diagonally opposed springs on the cover contact the negative terminals of the two 18650 cells. Use the screw driver to screw the cover back on. Do not over tighten.Replace the incandescent bulb with the supplied LED bulb (optional)Disclaimer: The supplied LED bulb is compatible with P13.5 lamp base. Be sure your flashlight uses this style bulb before ordering. As mentioned, the bulb is designed to operate for voltages between 6-24v. The output of this adapter is 7.4 volts, well within the range of the supplied bulb. If you choose NOT to use the supply bulb in flashlight applications, make sure your bulb can handle the extra voltage. In addition, if the adapter is used in non-flashlight applications, make sure your device can operate at the higher voltages above the 6v alkaline lantern battery. When your 18650 battery requires charging, it must be removed from the adapters. As this is a 3D printed part, there may be some slight blemishes due to the printing process. This in no way weakens or affects the functionality of the adapter. Also, the color may vary between the black (as depicted in photos) or silver due to availability.
