Description: A Glimpse Of Club Life In Lichfield, EnglandPublished: Undated, published for famed buffalo book collector R.B. Adams, who died in 1904. Adams built a collection of rare and privately printed books in the 1880's, which was later carried on by his son and is currently preserved at Harvard University. This information is available on Wikipedia and elsewhere, if you want to read more. This rare softcover book was likely printed circa 1890. It came into my possession through an estate sale with other old books from the Buffalo NY area.Notes: The front cover reads "TRUTH WE REVERE THEE" and back cover reads "TRUTH WE ADORE THEE." The contents of the book concern a club in England in the 1700's, with fines and minutes of meetings being described, and a tavern location named. Adams must've had it printed from an older 1700's text.Condition: Excellent condition, binding firm, pages supple and readable; the only minor flaw is a slight 1" scuffing in an area on the front cover.
