Description: Beautiful pair of Anchor Book Ends by Philadelphia Manufacturing Company. These were purchased by our parents from Jordan Marsh Department Store in the 70's we believe but possibly the 80's. They were $25 each - your could purchase them singly if desired. They have held up books in in bookcases for many years but now a dramatic downsize finds them needing a new home. They are about 5-3/4" at the tallest measurement and about 4-1/2" across right to left on the base. 2 lb 12 oz approximate weight of each bookend so they are well designed to hold up books and stay in place. They are done in a two tone brass finish and show the typical degradation of the smooth finish here and there appropriate for their age as well as life in Florida.
