Description: This was made to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the work done at Ancient Saar this special, limited edition Dilum Cylinder seal was produced. It is a copy, cast in high quality resin, of the original, found in a 4,000-year-old house at Saar. Only a hundred of these replicas were created and given out privately to contributors to the project. Dr. Robert Killick and Dr Jane Moon, from London, Bahrain archaeological expedition lead the project. There is more information than photos with the accompanying literature about the piece and its history. There is also some very interesting information online about the project and discoveries made. The original was in ancient Bahrain in the Bronze age I have seen a lot of these listed as ancient and I am 100% sure that there are not that many millennia old pieces actually sitting on eBay. And just for clarity, mine is a reproduction but a very high quality one, cast from an original. It's a nicer piece than you would get out of a gift shop. 182 HB7
