Description: This is a 160 year old Antique 1864 Early American Weight Driven Ogee Mantel Shelf Clock, made by the Chauncey Jerome Clock Company New Haven Conn. USA. It was a wedding gift to Charles H and Anna Lacey and has some writing inside to that affect along with key and rapid winder key and some documentation of repairs and ownership. It has a Victorian Wooden Case with Mirror Glass Lower Tablet and Original Label Inside. This Has a Painted Wood Dial with Roman Numerals and Decorative Floral Designs! Shows some wear around the winding holes etc. Measures approx. 26 1/2" Tall x 15 1/2" Wide x 4 1/4" Deep. The Clock has a "Chauncey Jerome" Brass Mechanical Time and Strike Weight Driven Movement with Cathedral Coil Spring Gong Chime. The Case is In Good Original Condition, as Pictured, with Some Minor Wear From Age. Works! Chimes on the hour. I saw one exactly like this in the Abraham Lincoln house in Springfield Illinois!
