Description: Antique 1887 Celluloid First Communion/Prayer Book Miniature Hinged Crucifix.This is bound in celluloid in 1887. Ivory colored boards & spine, with a beautiful picture on the front cover. All page edges are gilt, and it has a fully-functioning clasp to hold it fast. Inside the front cover is a crucifix. The book is Illustrated with black & white images. I have photos of information on date and where it was printed. I used a translator to find it is written in the Czech language. I have photos of a page in original and translated form. As you can see in the photos, there is wear with age. Also there is writing from original owner saying the name and First Holy Communion. The box has damage as do the the 2 bookmarks that are very old and torn. See photos, as it gives the best description.
