Description: An amazing find, this set of grapefruit spoons is both elegant and rare. The six spoons have gold washed bowls and silver handles. The front of each spoon is elaborately embossed with entwined scrolls and engraved with an initial we think is "P." The back of each spoon is also embossed and stamped "Sterling - Pat. 1889." There is also a hallmark, but we can't identify it. The pointed spoons are all in excellent, age-related condition - there are no scratches or dents.The spoons are in their original dark cream colored fabric box. The box is lined with a soft silk and the lid of the inside of the box says: J.H.Leyson Co., Jewelers, Salt Lake City. The box has a small silver latch that works perfectly.The box is in good, age-related condition - there is a small amount of discoloration of the outside lid, consistent with age. The spoons are each approx. 5 3/4" long.The box is approx. 9 1/2" long x 6 1/2" wide x 1 3/4" deep.
