Description: Antique W. H. Grindley & Co. Semi Porcelain ( also known as ironstone) octagon shaped vegetable tureen bowl with lid. Trademark pattern dates this piece from 1891-1914. It is stamped "Patented Dec. 29, 1896 USA Vassar Tureen has the following vintage points of wear:Small chip on corner rim of lid. Crazing to the lid and inside of bowl. 3 areas of discoloration from normal use on the inside bottom bowl. It measures 11.25 inches from outer handle to handle.Pattern name for this piece is Vassar.
