Description: This listing is for an antique jewelry or trinket box made by Choisy Le Roy. The mark on this piece is very similar to the Meissen mark and in 1886 they were forbidden from using this mark anymore, which they started using in 1786. The top of this box has a hand-painted scene of a young man courting a young woman with a country estate in the background. Sometimes the name is spelled Choisy Le Roi. This measures approximately 4" across at its widest x 3" deep x 1.25" tall. It is in wonderful antique condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
