Description: This antique photograph captures the essence of the American West with a stunning portrait of Doc Holliday holding a Derringer Pistol. The half-cased ambrotype format is hand-tinted and features a unique collection of glass, leather, and metal materials. The image measures 4x3.25 inches and is an original production from the late 19th century. The portrait is a one-of-a-kind piece that captures the subject's essence without sacrificing detail. The photograph is perfect for collectors of Western memorabilia, Americana, and historical portraits. This production technique is a must-have for anyone looking to add a unique and authentic piece to their collection. This old west holy grail was won at auction APRIL 2023. I was able to bid aggressively from being able to identify the subject as being that of Doc Holliday from the previous discoveries of Jan 1, 2022 where a large cache of Doc and his common law wife, many portraits of them together, were identified and acquired. I had utilized an auction sniper and set large increases in microseconds, i was very lucky with a cap of 270$ that i was able to win. Thanks for looking feel free to ask questions and check out my other curiosities and rare finds for sale.
