Description: Antique original artwork, this beautiful little framed painting has been in my family for years. Always in a non-smoking home, this painting depicts a dense forest at night, with the moon hanging in a cloudy sky and the moonlight animating the river below. This is a special piece. Rustic and simple and perfect. Measures 17" x 10". The frame is in OK condition and is fine as is or could benefit from a light treatment of varnish or stain. The painting itself is in excellent shape. I believe the painting is from the late 1930s or early 1940s.
