Description: This sewing machine was removed from its original table/stand so I could repurpose the stand and base for another use. The machine clearly shows its age – it was removed from an old home years ago and was apparently stored in a damp environment. There is surface rust, some pitting and oxidation/corrosion on its surface and workings, but all moving parts appear to function properly. The balance wheel turns freely to operate the needle bar. All knobs and levers are operational. One screw on the forward access panel is frozen. I didn’t try too hard to break it free for fear of making things worse. As shown in the pictures, some of the original art and stenciling survive, as does the gold trademark badge. Please note – I do not have any working knowledge of these machines. I cannot say definitively that it is not missing something or that parts are actually functioning as they should. Hopefully, the pictures are adequate and I am certainly happy to answer any specific questions. A check of the Serial Number, D618294, on the International Sewing Machine Collectors Society website identified this machine as a Model 27 with an Allotment Date of December 2, 1908. I would assume that this machine would be good for at least some of its parts or, in the right hands, could be refurbished to its original glory.
