Description: Beautiful Victorian Cast Iron summer fireplace cover from the 1890s. This cover has a scene of a farmer man and woman in a cart being pulled by an ox or cow. There are fields of wheat or corn in the background and birds flying in the air. The left bottom corner have been broken off at some point over the past 125 years. There are some spots on the front and back that look like rust and oxidation but the overall cover is solid. One the back the number 422 is stamped in the iron, I believe is the production number as another online is stamped 420. Please see all photos on condition. Fireplace cover measuring approx 25 x 13 and weighs approx 11 pounds.
