Description: ANOTHER SUPERB AND RARE WATCH FIND FROM ANTIQUETIME!! A SUPER RARE AND FAMOUS 'CARDINAL SUBMARINE' 200FT MILITARY STYLE WRIST WATCH. OF TELEVISION FAME FROM 'THE CHAMPIONS' T.V. CULT SERIES. THE SAME MODEL AS SHOWN ON WILLIAM GAUNTS WRIST IN THE 1968 EPISODE 'THE GHOST PLANE' IN WORKING ORDER AND NICE ORIGINAL CONDITION. WITH A BLACK DIAL AND TRITIUM ACCENTS ON THE HANDS AND NUMERALS!A TRUE MILITARY LOOKING DIVERS WATCH WITH FAMOUS TELEVISION ROOTS!! I AM A 100% POSITIVE EBAYER!! SINCE 2002-PLEASE BID/BUY WITH CONFIDENCE!!! CASE: This is a very lovely bright chromed watch case. It is in good condition. There are marks and nibbles etc with normal wear usage. There is a very small amount of chrome loss on the edges of the case back. Apart from these non-descript things, the case is in really wonderful condition. The bezel is stunning! It is black and is in excellent condition showing very little wear. The numerals are in excellent condition. It revolves Bi-Directionally and is probably a little more loose to revolve than when it was new. The caseback has a stunning engraved skin diver token and is inscribed with the wording 'Stainless steel back 200 vacuum tested, waterproof, swiss made' It has nice beefy lugs which take a wide 20mm band. The case measures 3.8cms (38mm) in diameter. This is a fantastic watch case. DIAL: The dial is gloss black and has vertical and horizontal thin white pin stripes to it. There are some losses to the black at the dial bottom and at 3 o'clock. It has a great Military look to it! The numerals are a mixture of quarter Arabic and baton. They are all tritium coated and have a green glow! The gorgeous military style hands are in good condition! All have tritium coatings. The 'sweep' second hand has a tritium coated arrow tip.The dial is FULLY signed with the words 'CARDINAL SUBMARINE' 23 JEWELS and at the bottom of the dial 'SUPER WATERPROOF' '200 VACUUM TESTED' 'TRITIUM' and 'Swiss made'. This is a nice original dial! MOVEMENT: This is a nice Swiss Ebauche manual wind movement in working condition marked 23 jewels . It winds smoothly and sets as it should. The setting mechanisim works as it should. The crown has some light brassing and chrome wear. The watch keeps time to within a couple of mins per day as tested over a 24 hour period! The crystal is brand new and as such is in excellent condition!. BAND: I have fitted a lovely brand new black leather genuine leather 20mm band to the watch. I estimate that it will fit up to an 8 and 3/4 inch wrist comfortably. It is in as new condition and has a white metal colored buckle.
