Description: Asian Jar Vase Blue Decoration Crackled Grayish White Antique Old Chinese Korean Description and Item Information Up for sale is this old Asian pottery or porcelain jar or vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This pot is glazed a grayish white color with patches of blue; it has fine, brown crackle lines in the glaze. The lid is unglazed, and it is unknown whether it once had a lid. This piece is approximately 6 1/2 inches tall with a maximum diameter of about 5 1/2 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 13.5 ounces. This would be a good addition to a collection of Asian antiques. Identification This piece has no markings other than a partial, red stamp mark on its side. The exact origin is unknown, and it is possibly Korean or Chinese. The exact age is not known, but it is believed to be antique. Condition This piece looks good overall, as shown. It may have once had a lid. There are some tight, stained cracks to the rim and body. There is minor chipping to the foot from long ago, which is difficult to see since the foot ring has darkened. There is staining and soiling from use. It is unknown whether the crazing is original or if it formed later. As made, there is some excess clay on the rim and there are some very small dimples and indents elsewhere.
