Description: ASUS LAPTOP: ROG STRIX SCAR II GL504GM, 15.6" DISPLAY. It is probably one of the last Asus models that has NORMAL SIZE arrow keys and a numpad, and perhaps that's the reason for owning this computer! What the h3ll were they thinking when they decided to make laptop keys so small and/or eliminate them, causing endless frustration and reducing productivity. IMO The GPU is just right: powerful enough for most applications and many games, and does not get obnoxiously hot. CPU/GPU mostly stay around 40-45 degrees C, in my experience. Laptop is in nice and clean condition, see pictures. However there is one thing: there is a patch of "wear pit" near the lower-right corner of the track pad (see last picture), due to my bad habit of finger (nail) scratching there and it gradually developed into that. One of the cooling fans is getting louder, not sure which one, you might consider replacing it at some point. It is functional now. The noise is more obvious at certain speed, or when you get closer to it like less then 1.5 ft, or when you hold the computer at an odd angle, like vertically. Key specs: Intel Core i7-8750H Processor.GeForce GTX 1060 GPU.16GB RAM.128GB SSD. There is no hard disk. I transferred it to another computer since I needed the data. Also you need to get a hard disk caddy and cable (part number GL504GS_HDD_FPC, there is one for sale on ebay now for $10). If you are not happy with the setup, SSD, Hard disk, and this and that......all are very cheap these days. Anyway if you decide to work on the computer yourself, make sure you know what you are doing!!! Also there is no charger, I've been using other computer's charger. I will ensure it gets at least 50% charged to get you started. Any standard 19V charger with pin size 6x3.7mm will work. Battery is old, so no warranty/guarantee on that!
