Beethoven - String Quartets Op. 18 No. 6 & Op. 135 - Janáček Quartet

Description: This 1963 Czech import mono album by Supraphon (SUA 10415) comprises two works by Ludwig van Beethoven: String Quartet No. 6 in B Flat Major, Op. 18 and String Quartet in F Major, Op. 135, both performed by the Janáček Quartet: Jiří Trávníček (1st violin), Adolf Sýkora (2nd violin), Jiří Kratochvíl (viola) and Karel Krafka (cello). Album notes are in English, German and French. The outer sleeve is thin material with a very good plastic front-side lamination, though it shows some minor peeling along its bottom edge where it folds to the back. The clear plastic inner sleeve (see Photo 3) was splitting along its curved lower seam, so we are enclosing it all within a new plain white sleeve. The disc itself is excellent. The album shows a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back. All have been carefully stored for many years, played only on premium equipment, and show little to no wear.
