Why change what works...right? What Benchmade did do is to upgrade the blades all to CPM-S30V form the 154CM. This gives you better edge retention and sharpness. This is a much needed upgrade and is well received. The Griptilians come in three different blade styles. the 551 drop point, the 553 tanto point and the 550 in a flat grind sheepsfoot with thumb hole instead of thumb studs. This 551 has a Satin blade and Black colored handles.
