Description: BLUE DANUBE is a highly collectible vintage blue and white porcelain line made in Japan from the 1950s to about 2000. The crisp white pieces are decorated with a rich blue design based on the antique Meissen "Onion" pattern. The pieces have a classic scalloped edge and a hand-painted look; the coffee cups have a lovely split handle. These Blue Danube items have the rectangular maker's mark on the bottom that dates them from about 1970. (These vintage items were part of a local estate; amazingly, the owner had kept the original Blue Danube informational folder from their purchase. I've pictured it but it is not included in the set.) This listing is for ONE complete five-piece place setting of Blue Danube. The pieces are in very nice vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing or other issues; some pieces do show light evidence of utensil use. Included are ONE EACH of the following: 10 3/8" Dinner Plate; 8 3/4" Salad Plate; 6 3/4" Bread or Dessert Plate; 5 1/2" Saucer; and Coffee/Tea Cup that is 3 3/8" across at rim and 2 1/2" tall. Please look closely at the photos and email me with questions. I pack carefully and ship same or next business day from Arkansas with free tracking. Satisfaction guaranteed or money cheerfully refunded. (I am estimating shipping; if your location requires less, I will refund overage. If you want more than one set, I am happy to combine shipping cost.)
