Description: Davis 6450 Solar Radiation Sensor - Instruments for Measuring SunlightThe Davis 6450 Solar Radiation Sensor is a high-quality instrument designed for use with Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2 weather stations. This sensor measures solar radiation and is required, along with an anemometer and a temperature/humidity sensor, if you wish to monitor evapotranspiration. It is already included with Vantage Pro Plus and Vantage Pro2 Plus.The diffuser element and housing of the Davis 6450 are carefully designed for accurate cosine response. The silicon photo diode provides a good match to the solar spectrum. The two-piece housing minimizes radiation heating, allows convection cooling of the sensor, and prevents the trapping of water or dust. The sensor also includes a built-in level and 2'' (0.6M) cable.The Davis 6450 is compatible with both original Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2 weather stations.
