Description: Dr. Pepper is one of the oldest soda makers in the U.S. It was first made at Wade, Morrison's corner drug store in Waco, Texas. His pharmacist, Charles Courtice Alderton enjoyed staying busy. He enjoyed mixing beverages at the counter for customers. He made a drink with 23 different ingredients/flavors. Customers were soon asking for that drink. He later named it "Dr. Pepper", after Dr. Charles Pepper, a Virginia doctor, the father of the girl Morrison was once in love with. One of the biggest ever ad campaigns was Dr. Pepper's clock ad. In the 30's, a study was done about the American worker. At 10, 2, and 4, energy levels went down. So, the ad people came up with the phrase, "Drink something to eat at 10, 2 and 4". This bottle is the Commemorative bottle for the 100th Anniversary of Dr. Pepper in 1985. Dr. Pepper is older than Coca Cola. This bottle features the different advertising of Dr Pepper. First, on the bottom is the ad from 1905, "Dr Pepper King of Beverages". In 1929, they featured, "Dr Pepper Good For Life". In 1960, Dr Pepper featured the famous "Clock 10-2-4". In 1977, keeping with the times, "Be a Pepper". The bottle is beautiful. It is very clean, and clear, with no chips or cracks. The cap is quite tarnished. Shipping will be only $9.00 anywhere in the U.S. for 2-4 day Priority mail. If you purchase more of my many asst. bottles, I will ship them FREE with this Dr Pepper bottle.
