The book is falsely dated "1965", as nearly all vintage Dune books are, but it was actually printed in 1972. The number 5077 is imprinted on the lower spine, which, along with the number line (7 8 9 0 4 3 2 1 0 9 8 7), places it as a very early 7th printing. (The first printing, valued at many times as much as this edition, is identified as having blue cloth and no ISBN number.) The book comes wrapped in its original dust jacket with $7.95 price intact (price is a bit obscured by some gum from a removed label that once covered it.) Also included is a laminated map of the Lands of Dune. Boards are preserved excellently (please see pics.) Intact endpapers are uninscribed. Binding is very tight and square; the text is very clean, bright and crisp. 413 pages. The book measures approximately 9.25 x 6.25-inches. The dust jacket is price-clipped with edgewear, mostly at the top of the spine. It comes sleeved in ph-neutral mylar and ready to slip into your collection.
