Description: Original 1/6 Plate Antique Daguerreotype Photo, Woman, in Half Case DESCRIPTION: Nice early antique daguerreotype image taken during the early days of popular daguerreotype photography, c1840-1845. I apologize for the reflected light/camera in my scans, obviously not part of the actual photo itself, which is clear and particularly high quality. Subject is a woman. Mounted in a nice simple, brass mat. Nice early mid-1800's subject matter and nice seated antebellum pose and appearance. She is wearing antebellum style colored skin tight fancy gloves. Note: these were the style that were colored in real life, but do NOT appear colored in the photo. Set in its original leather case, half case only, but its original case. Please see my auction list for other framed antique photos, both ambrotypes and daguerreotypes, many identified and many in gorgeous fancy frames!! PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS!!!
