Description: MARVEL COMICS Marvel Studios MCU Speculative KeyFANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS (2025) First Appearance: Doom-45 (First Multiversal Variant of Doctor Doom)Second Appearance: The Interdimensional Council of ReedsReed Richards joins the Council of Reeds Following last issue's First Appearance of The Interdimensional Council of Reeds, the organization composed only of Variants of Reed Richards from throughout the Multiverse, Fantastic Four #571 reveals -- among other things -- that the council has been keeping prisoners -- Variants of DOCTOR DOOM from numerous earths, which they keep in near bondage after wiping their minds to prevent any further damage to the Multiverse at their hands. Among them is DOOM-45, one such Variant. In a later issue, Doom of Earth-616 will discover Doom-45, and lead him and the other brainwashed captive Dooms again the Reeds in a (successful) revolt that would give rise to Doom's own Multiversal organization, the PARLIAMENT OF DOOM. Marvel Studios has confirmed that the Council of Reeds will appear in the upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps scheduled to drop in 2025. Actor John Krasinski is rumored to appear as yet another variant of REED RICHARDS, as is ADAM DRIVER, an early candidate for the part of Reed Richards who ultimately passed on the role before it went to PEDRO PASCAL. Moreover, ROBERT DOWNEY, JR'S "Doctor Doom" will also appear. Notably, his Doom won't be the Doom from the Marvel-616 Universe, and as we don't yet know from which numbered universe he and the Fantastic Four originate, it's possible that their Universe, their home-world, is Earth-45. Jonathan Hickman's contribution to Marvel Studios Phases Five and Six is substantial, with significant elements of his Avengers, New Avengers, Fantastic Four and Secret Wars runs all being adapted for the Big Screen. While the question remains as to the extent the filmmakers will pull from the source material, at this juncture we're putting our money on "more", not "less." Relevant issues and, likely, several more unknown keys from Hickman's Fantastic Four run are likely to abound.
