Description: Nautilus from the Latin name 'sailor' is a pelagic marine mollusc of the cephalopod family. It comprises six living species in two genera, the type of which is the genus Nautilus. Though it more specifically refers to species Nautilus pompilius, the name chambered nautilus is also used for any of the Nautilidae. Having survived relatively unchanged for millions of years, nautiluses represent the only living members of the subclass nautiloidea, and are often considered 'living fossils'. All of our Fossils are 100% Genuine Specimens & come with a Certificate of Authenticity **Please note: Some fossils maybe propped up for photo purposes** Specimen: Nautilus Age: Cretaceous Location: Madagascar Scale cube=1cm: Full sizing please see photo ACTUAL AS SEEN: The image shows the EXACT specimen you will receive.
