The receiver is controlled by a phase locked first local oscillator and 500KC PTO. Installed IF filters include 2.1 SSB and 6 KC AM. This receiver was a remarkable unit at the time of production and is still a great receiver for general shortwave listening, AM broadcast and HF amateur radio listening. This is a very clean radio that is working well. See video for audio. Given the age of the R-530 it is being sold as is.
