Description: Up for sale is an original art plaque commemorating Pulitzer prize winning war journalist Ernie Pyle from 1945 in its original sleeve. The plaques image is from a 1944 photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt . The piece was made by Stanley Kellogg , owner of Kellogg crafts of Petoskey Michigan it is stamped kello Stone Ware. Is also stamped on the front over his left shoulder that it is a "VFW award" with the US Veterans of Foreign Wars members lapel pin. The plaque has all of its original finish and hanging loop on the reverse. the original sleeve is in fair condition with it missing the flap at one end but is still solid. this is a very nice original award and being made out of ceramic still in wonderful undamaged condition and will fit right into any art or Veterans collection. if you have any questions please email me and i will respond promptly. thanks for looking and good luck.
