Description: Early pair of Harvey Avedon enamel over copper vintage modernist cufflinks. Harvey Avedon filed the design patent for the toggle in 1956, and it was published in 1960. Freeform shaped faces measure approximately 1-1/2" x 3/4" The enamel is in very good condition. It has a multi earth tone striped design with speckling. Almost looks like granite. The metal has scratches, some discolorations, and surface wear commensurate with age and use. Lightweight, and do not stick to a magnet. Well cemented, very secure attachment. Please keep in mind that vintage and preowned jewelry has a history, and will often show some minor signs of being worn over the years. Be sure to enlarge and view all pictures, as they are considered to be part of the description. I do my very best to describe any issues a piece may have, and I always welcome your questions.
