Description: Having just recently visited Florence, I couldn't resist this bowl when I saw it. Accurate depiction of the Ponte Vecchio over the Arno River and the only bridge in Florence not to be mined by the Germans during WW2. Another interesting fact is that the buildings along the Ponte Vecchio were all once butcher shops during the 15th and 16th centuries.... the Medici's didn't like the odor, so they ordered them closed down ..... see I listened to our guide! Excellent condition, I doubt it was ever used, no utensil marks or other things seen! NB: I pack breakables as if they are going to be mistreated during shipment, lots of bubble wrap, peanuts, etc, naturally this adds to shipping cost, however, in the hundreds of items that I have shipped, only 1 has arrived broken at its destination.
