Johnson Outboard Boat Motor 4.0 hp Short Shaft Runs XLNT 1 Owner Evinrude NICE!

Description: I have decided to sell my 1987 Johnsdon 4.0 Horse power outboard boat motor. Model J4RCUD. I am the original owner of this motor. Pull start 15" Short Shaft motor that runs, starts, shifts, and flows water perfectly. Has always been stored on the engine stand in my climate controlled garage when not in use. Always Wisconsin fresh water use and has never seen a river. This motor was used very VERY sparingly over the years and never abused. Very low hours as it was only used once a year on vacation since new. Lower unit drained and fresh gear lube every year. As should be expected It does have some typical VERY minor bumps and minor scratches, but all in all in exceptional condition for its age. This motor has absolutely never left me stranded. All wiring is in excellent condition under the hood. Compression is outstanding at about 117psi on both cylinders. Great compression for these smaller motors.This is a 2 stroke 50-1 gas and oil mix 2 stroke motor that actually came out as one of those 100-1 mix motors but has always been run 50-1 mix per my outboard shop when purchased new. Perfect motor for those 10 HP restricted lakes. Only selling because I am getting older and am moving up to a console steer boat (finally!). I will hate to see it go. Truly an exceptional running and performing motor. Tiller handle and propeller will likely be removed and in the box for safer shipping. Lower unit / gear box, may also be drained so fresh lube may need to be installed before use. I would preffer local pick up but am able to ship.
