It's traditionally constructed from hand potting 2 halves, and the top and bottom half is merged together. The soft matted moon white glazed shows evident of black ash from traditional wood fired kiln (versus a modern gas fired studio kiln) This help me approximately dating this jar to around mid 20thC. Dimensions: This large moon jar is 15"W X 16"H (38.1cm X 40.64cm). Weight heavy 21.5 lbs. Shipping weight with double boxing is approx. 25 - 26 lbs. Condition: Item is in great condition with no damage such as chips or cracks or hairlines. Item was examined under black UV light and has no restoration.
