Description: Product OverviewThe S37 submersible sump pump features a vertical magnetic float switch. As the water rises, the float moves along its stem to the top of your pump. The switch turns the pump on (at about 8-1/4" up) and begins to empty the basin. Once the float reaches the bottom of your pump (approx. 2-3/4" from the bottom of the basin), the pump switches off. This action occurs as needed until the water stops entering the basin. The 1/3 horsepower motor is oil-filled and thermally protected, yet offers quiet operation and is built to last. Have no fear if dirt and debris are mixed into your water. The S37 is equipped with 1/4" solids handling - reducing larger debris form entering the pump. A pump that offers solids handling allows solid particles and other materials through (up to 1/4" with the S37 pump), while transporting fluids. This sump pump also has a 25' max. head feet, auto shut off. The S37 also has a high capacity flow rate. As an example, at 10 ft. head, this pump will direct up to 35 gallons a minute up and out of your space! At 13" high this sump pump sits at the bottom of your sump basin and will switch on when the water level reaches 8-1/4" high. It automatically turns off when the float is at 2-3/4" from the bottom of the basin. The depth of your sump basin should be at least 18" and at least 14" in diameter. Of course a larger basin would allow for a longer pump cycle and increase the longevity of your float switch. The S37 includes a 10' cord and is cast iron. Keep you sump pump basin covered to prevent debris and other foreign objects from getting into the basin.
