Description: Original Lock-Right Locker 1822-LR for a Ford 8.8" 31 Spline axle (before Powertrax bought them). This locker is easy to install in an existing open differential. 1822-LR Application Notes: Ford 8.8" (10 Bolt), 31 Spline, Open Differential, 7/8" Shaft. This is an original Lock-Right model that uses your existing pinion shaft - this was before they were bought by Powertrax. I had this installed this years ago for a short time in an older Explorer with the 8.8" axle. As you can see in the pictures, it is in great shape and not abused. If you read the new instructions on the Powertrax web site, they talk of removing the carrier assembly. I have installed this unit without removing the carrier assembly from the pumpkin. You will have to pull the axles out to get at the c-clips, so some brake and backing plate removal has to be done. See manufacturers website for fitment if you are not sure what axle you have.
