Marvel Secret Invasion 1 2008 CGC 9.8 WP 1:75 McNiven Sketch cover coming to MCU

Secret Invasion #1 limited series published in 2008 by Marvel Comics This copy is the 1:75 (meaning stores had to order 75 copies of the standard versions of this book to receive just one of these copies) Steve McNiven sketch variant. You may be more familiar with the red cover that features the Skrull-ified Avengers on it. The color version of this cover by McNiven was a 1:25 and this sketch variant is a 1:75 making it significantly rarer. In fact, there are only 156 copies of this book in CGC 9.8 and only 211 in total on the CGC Census. That means there are (211 * 75) nearly 16,000 copies of the standard Secret Invasion cover that had to be produced just to account for those books on the CGC Census. CGC has changed their labels several times over the years. This is considered an "older label" meaning it's been encapsulated in its case for probably close to a decade at this point. Older labels for 9.8 grades typically have no bearing on value other than potentially a buyer's aesthetic choice.
