Description: Up for grabs is a Winchester 30-30 Win., 20" Pre-64 Saddle Ring Carbine Barrel. Top Eject. The outside has some handling and wear marks from use. The bore is in very - very good condition. I would call it a strong 8 to a 9. The bore has very strong lands and groves. The threads are as good as they get. I estimate the barrel was made between 1950 and 1964. 1950 was the year Winchester changed their caliber marking system from WCF 30, to 30-30 Win. This was done with all rifle calibers. 1964 was the year Winchester changed CEO's and the new CEO went from hand-fitted machined steel parts to stamped metal parts and metal alloys. These barrels, in good condition, are getting more difficult to come by and more expensive every day—especially Top Eject. If you look around, everything you see is ‘AE’, or Angle Eject.
