It pulls strong and smooth and all animation works. The 380 Limited Edition series was the early motor-driven animation version. There are two electrical wire connections on the rear of the locomotive (all of the later versions have just a single plug wire connection). The two versions are NOT compatible with each other. The locomotive has Santa and one of his elves on board, both are animated and move properly back and forth. This listing is for the Locomotive Engine only. No other cars, track or controller are included. A perfect addition or replacement for your existing set.Only compatible with the Holiday Express 2-wire Tree Top Tender (380 Limited Edition series).The delicate cattle grate on the front will be removed for protection during shipping. It is simply attached with 2 screws. This engine has been test run for proper working condition.
