To continue, the green, 3-Cent, "Washington," is in pretty fine condition. The duplex cancel from the New York City P.O. is awesome! The receiving, "Carrier," cancel from Washington D.C. P.O. is pretty good, but is light/faded in some areas. Lastly, the envelope is in fine condition! It's very clean! The back flap is more than 90% intact! Noted imperfections, aside, this is still a neat piece of postal history connected to a veteran of the Civil War, U.S. Army Colonel, Thomas J. Lord!
