Description: In the coming months I am converting a tiny fraction of my several tons of exotic hardwoods back into cash- the good stuff that rarely makes it back to market. I had this stuff drying indoors in a heated space for a decade or more and some of it dates all the way back to 1992 when I began collecting the prettiest wood I could find from around the world. If you have a question, please ask it before purchasing- I know my wood and will answer within a few hours most of the time. All dimensions are +/- 1/16" but tend to be more accurate. If there are defects that I can see that I think would cause a problem I will note it in the description. Burls and live edge may have natural internal flaws. If you want the best, you'll likely find it here. If you don't like it when you get it, just return it for exchange, credit or refund, your choice. Super brilliant hues of blue and nice quilted curl figure throughout the block. This is a very dense and heavy turning square, stabilized to perfection. It started out as a 22 oz dry block and is now 3 lbs 7 oz, very dense but easy to turn. These are high quality blocks made using the finest natural plant resin. This block is hard and heavy and will produce a gallery quality bowl, it is just waiting for your creative touch. All burl has hidden internal voids so please examine the photos and ask questions if you're not sure. UV protection in the finish is always recommended to preserve the richness of the color if it is to be used or displayed under sunlight, fluorescent lighting or any other UV producing artificial lighting. Gun grip blanks, micro lumber, box wood, carving block, etc. Please note that the color you see on your screen may be different than the color I see on my screen so please ask questions if precise color or shade is important for your project. Just try to imagine how nice this will look with your favorite finish applied!
