There is a quiz after every 5 lessons and a test after each chapter (textbook) so plenty of material here even if you do not purchase the student activity books. This set is recommended for Seventh Grade. This course allows the student to progress through the course as quickly or as slowly as needed. There is some minor crinkling at the bottom of all the pages in the Teachers Resource Kit from what appears to be a water spill. Slight water lines on the first few introductory pages but the rest of the pages otherwise clean besides the crinkling at bottom. These pages are still totally usable and typically the student pages quizzes and tests would be photocopied so you can use with more than one student. There is also an included disc (3.0 version- see pic) with all the same content that you can print copies from as well. Price reflects stated flaws.
