Description: Pickard China originally started in Edgerton WI in 1894 & is still in business in Antioch IL today. In addition to decorative ware, they made numerous high-quality dinnerware patterns & pieces. Pickard is one of the few large companies still producing their wares in the United States rather than importing them. This round (made in 1952) plate has a glossy ivory background glaze, a pretty wreath with bird design, and gold trim on the rim. It is about 8-1/4 inches in diameter and has the imprinted gold Pickard with shield logo on the bottom.
