Description: Pre WWII America and Japan in Amity and Trade Book Late 1930's Industry Vtg --- Measures 10.5" x 15". 385 pages, softcover. I list this as a "book" but it is more of a "magazine". Newsprint pages are browned and brittle (edges will chip or split easily). Has 15 color plates. I couldn't find publication information but saw the year 1937 in an ad for a company capital reserves (and another page with an article about the planned 1939 worlds fair. Front cover lists two Japanese newspapers, The Osaka Manichi and the Tokyo Nichi Nichi. English language. Articles for both American and Japanese culture. Center right edge of pages have small tears (the "thumbing" edge). Front cover has long splits along spine top and bottom. Cover has creases that are hard to show/see because of the silver ink. The first few pages have a lot of creases. Some tears on those early pages at spine. Spine itself is intact and feels solid. Covers have small edge tears. Spine shows some browning as well. Back cover in similar condition as the front cover. I noted one of the color pages is an actual print (you can feel the ink on the surface, like a block print but could be a type of screen print). Many of the color plates have a tissue cover. The back of the color plates show some browning (from being in contact with the acidic newsprint paper). Great looking cover design. --- See photos for condition details. --- Will be well packed --- See shipping options above --- Payment expected within 3 days of purchase (contact me if you need more time). --- The item description is guaranteed to be accurate but all items are sold as-is unless otherwise stated. --- I don't have a way to arrange for a local pick-up of this item, I'm sorry for the inconvenience
