Description: This is a vintage Roberts Radio R200 transistor radio from the 1960s, in a classic tan colour. It features both MW and LW bands and is in good working condition. The radio is a collectable item for fans of radios and technology from the past. Made in the United Kingdom, it is a great addition to any collection of transistor radios or vintage electronics. The unit is in full working order. Now that said it is only designed to receive LW and MW, in my area MW channels are not many but I do get a reception on a couple of sports channels. As for LW I only get the faint reception of something which I cant identify! But if you have LW broadcasting near you then I am confident it will do the job for you. This unit is the result of two seperate units - one with a terrible case and the other with terrible innards, good parts salvaged from both to create cosmetically restored working example of an R200 model. So, for any purists out there the serial number will not necessarily reflect the innard design or componenets. However this unit was only in production for a few years so I would have expected change to internal design to be minimal. Some basic internal soldering was completed, touching up old joints and replacing some wires from unit to unit - no electrical components exchanged. This is a Battery Only item, and is powered by x1 PP9 9volt cell as pictured. Battery Not Included in sale, those can be readily purchased for about £5 from your electrical retailer of choice. Any questions then please ask away and I will get back to you with my best answer :)
