Description: 1990 ORIGINAL WATER COLOR - RONNIE CUTRONE _ ZUD-ZERO. I bought this from Martin Lawrence Gallery in 1992. Despite my best efforts to keep this piece out of direct sunlight, I have always had it in a room with curtains on the windows, it has faded from the original. I don't know if they had color fixers back then or chose not to use them but the ambient UV rays have faded the colors. I don't live in an artificially lit Gallery, I live in a house. For some reason I never got the Certificate of Authenticity. I checked with the gallery and they have no records of purchases over 20 years old. This image is not in the Ronnie Cutrone book of his pieces of this era. When I went to the Gallery and saw another Silver Surfer image on the wall, I asked the director if there were other images of the same. Turns out that this piece was in the vault in Virginia. I have enjoyed this piece for 25 plus years but I have other interests and it is time to pass it on. The list price at the Gallery was $5500. With discounts I bought it for $4400 in 1992. Add 25 years and the fading of colors and I think that I am offering it at a fair price. I will include the Cutrone book to the winner. Thanks for looking and please ask any questions you want.
