Click images to enlarge Description I just purchased this vintage Royal Doulton figurine from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece is Doulton's "Falstaff" / HN 2054 which was originally created by famed modeler C. J. (Charles John) Noke circa 1923 (this 2nd version copyrited in 1949). The piece is well executed with crisp mold and nice embossed detail to his head features, Shakespearian costume and draped wicker base. The under glaze hand painting is well done with rich color and fine line. The piece measures 7 ¼" high, 4 ½" wide and 3 ¼" deep. The base bears the pictured "ROYAL DOULTON" "MADE IN ENGLAND" green crown mark. The figure is in excellent condition with no damage or surface wear. This charming Falstaff would make a nice addition to your collection of vintage Royal Doulton bone china figurines.
