This is a well-worn wallet likely from the late 1950's or 1960's. My father used to work at the Chez Paree and Mister Kelly's night clubs in Chicago, and celebrities would occasionally give gifts to the workers at their venues. This wallet is likely one of those gifts. The wallet is made of brown English Morocco leather, and it has the gold imprint "From SOPHIE TUCKER" on the inside. Despite having obvious signs of wear, it is still intact. The plastic photo sleeves are considerably cloudy, and the inside needs to be re-attached to the outside along the right edge. Nevertheless, the wallet could easily still be used as a wallet if you so desired. If you have an old-timer in your family or circle of friends, they might get a kick out of receiving this for Christmas ... or Hanukkah ... or ANY day.
